Information: Passing Tones (An Elegy for Walter Hartley) was commissioned by Jacob Swanson in memory of Dr. Hartley, a compositional patron saint of the saxophone. Swanson premiered the piece at the 39th Navy Saxophone Symposium on 7 January 2017.
