Program Note: Songs to Nowhere is a set of three satirical songs composed late in the United States presidential election cycle of 2008. Each of the three short songs sets a verbatim response by Republican vice presidential contender Sarah Palin to questions asked in interviews by Katie Couric and Charles Gibson. Songs to Nowhere (originally entitled Palinlieder) was premiered by Sarah Horick, soprano, at Florida State University in October 2008.
