The Resonance Saxophone Orchestra is comprised of professional saxophonists from across the United States and is dedicated to promoting the saxophone ensemble as a viable medium for classical music both old and new.

Founded and directed by Alan Theisen, the Resonance Saxophone Orchestra had its debut performance at the 40th U.S. Navy International Saxophone Symposium performing a program of music by J.S. Bach, Chelsea Williamson, Alan Theisen, and Stephen Dankner. Conducted by Misty Theisen, the guest artist for that concert was soprano vocalist Courtney Ruckman.

The orchestra is committed to gender, race, orientation, and geographical diversity regarding its performers, conductor, composers, and guest artists.
