Program Note: Klage is a setting of the poem by Rainer Maria Rilke for soprano and saxophone orchestra. The world premiere was at the 40th U.S. Navy International Saxophone Symposium on January 13, 2018 by the dedicatee with the Resonance Saxophone Orchestra. Klage is written in the style of 1910s late Romantic and early atonal Expressionism.
