Program Note: hybrid in the wild was written for the composer himself to perform. Inspired by the painting of the same name by Marcus Jansen, hybrid in the wild incorporates multiphonics, microtones, and rapid extreme dynamic shifts to create an aural canvas that is both appealing and surreal. The piece was premiered by the composer on February 20, 2018 during a recital at Western Carolina University.
