Program Note: An die Musik was written at the request of Chris Condon, originally to be included in his Voice of the Saxophone album project. The world premiere occurred at the 2023 North American Saxophone Alliance biennial conference in Hattiesburg, Mississippi by Megan Ihnen, Chris Condon, and Casey Dierlam Tse. The text is from the poem of the same name by Rainer Maria Rilke.
