Theisen will perform a recital with Jennifer Reason at the Navy Saxophone Symposium at George Mason University. The program will include Clare Shore's River Songs and the world premiere of Stephanie Ann Boyd's Amare for alto saxophone and piano (both pieces written for and dedicated to Theisen).
Theisen will also be performing a concert as member of the Golden Eagle Saxophone Quartet. Program includes works by Theisen, Philip Glass, Caryl Florio, and Walter Hartley.
Four of Theisen's compositions will be performed: Arcanum for solo alto saxophone (by Dr. Ian Jeffress); Adagio Notturno for saxophone quartet (by the Golden Eagle Quartet); Two Forms of Insomnia for solo soprano saxophone (by Michael Hernandez); and the world premiere of Passing Tones for solo baritone saxophone (by Jacob Swanson).
